Wrapping up 2017 with anticipation of an even better 2018!

It’s that time of year where I like to reminisce on the past years travels and events, and look ahead to the upcoming year with anticipation.  I am always amazed at how much I seem to fit into a year,  but the best part is realizing how many long time friendships I have made, and how many new friends I have met all over the world.  It is these people, not necessarily the places (although they go hand in hand) who truly enrich my life.

If you were a part of those special times with me thank you!  Please take a minute to post a comment and share a “moment” we may have had together, or share where we met.  It would mean a lot to me!

In the meantime I hope you will remember the good times you had in 2017.  It will help end your year with a smile, and help you look forward to a new and exciting 2018!

    There’s an image that I ran across that says,
    “Pickleball… It’s cheaper than therapy.”

    This was so true for me. It was a tough year, but by the grace of God and his faithfulness, I am on the other side. A big part of getting to the other side was the pickleball friends I’ve made… their kindness. The friends I’ve made from the Sylvania, Toledo, and Holland pickleball clubs have been great. As well as a special friend or two from Michigan. Thank you all! I am so excited for pickleball next spring and summer!!!!

  2. Betsy – I enjoyed meeting up with you and Claire again in wonderful Bonita Bay, as well as playing with you. Great people – great fun – great laughs! Hope to see you at the end of June @ the Lake Odessa Picklebowl!! You guys are so friendly (as most pickleball folks are) – that I feel I’ve known you much longer than I have. Hope 2018 is a great year for all!!

The first words you uttered to me in Gillingham earlier this year were: ‘if he is Supermitch does that make you Superbitch?!’ Had me laughing then and that is what I am struck most about you Betsy – you always smile and laugh and radiate positive vibes. It was a pleasure to meet up with you and Claire in Orlando. Karen x
