This post is off the topic of pickleball. I’d like to share another important part of my life with you. Some of you might know that I also manage another blog site called “A Place for Mary.” I won’t go into the details of why I started this site, other than to share that Mary was a dear friend who was murdered by her son, a heroin addict. You can go to the site for the story.
Drug addiction is more than a huge problem in the United States and around the world. I created A Place for Mary to offer help to families with addicted loved ones. They too suffer the affects of addiction, and need as much support as possible.
I have been amazed at how many friends and strangers have spoken to me or emailed me to say “thank you” for A Place for Mary. They have found valuable information that has helped them cope and deal with their own personal situations, and have offered them some hope and comfort, knowing they are not alone.
As my Happy New Year 2020 gift to you, I’d like to share A Place for Mary with you.
