It’s a different world out there these days. For the first time in most of our lifetimes, we are experiencing something we never imagined would happen. Whether you believe the severity of the times or not, it has affected our daily lives. Our routines have been interrupted by closings of about everything we take for granted everyday. We are being asked to self-isolate, or as it’s now called “social distancing” due to either a specific reason (exposure, foreign travel, etc.) or for respect for the well being of those around us who might be more susceptible to illness. As a community, folks are offering help to those who are not able to help themselves. It is my hope that we will all learn from this and come out on the other side as better, more compassionate people than we might have been when it started.
